AboutMe

My name is Anna Serafini, I come from Italy. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Physiotherapy, in Amsterdam, where I am currently working as physiotherapist.

I played handball since I was 12 years old, my passion lead me to play for the Italian National Handball team which has changed my life and grown me as a player and person.

In 2014 I moved to Amsterdam to start a new chapter: since I started to study physiotherapy, I look at my sport with a much more complete view. I discovered what there is behind every movements and action.

After different experiences, I become interested about injury prevention and rehabilitation in sports, handball above all, and I am looking forward to knowing in depth all its aspects.

I created this blog to share knowledge and my own experience in the field of sport physiotherapy in handball.

What I believe in?

I believe physiotherapy has a key role in injury prevention, not just rehabilitation. Prepare sport related movement mentally and physically. Optimize the task to minimize faulty patterns. This can be achieved only with constant education, exposure to specific exercises and self-awareness by the athlete.

KNOWLEDGE IS SHARING!

I encourage everyone who reaches this website to share his/her own experience of having injury  and rehab both from player and clinician point of view. As a team, the more we share, the more we know and achieve.

All this to make a better understanding of the role of Physiotherapy in Handball!
